We train teachers of religion who can face the critical questions of their students and represent theological positions with a view to the social, religious and cultural diversity of the present.
Here you can study Protestant religious education in all types of schools. TU Dortmund University is thus one of the few universities in Germany where all teacher training courses in Protestant theology are possible:

In addition there is the possibility to choose a research and practice-oriented Master's program "Religion and Politics" (MAREPOL) after a Bachelor's degree. An international exchange of teachers and students is made possible through Erasmus cooperation (e.g. Vienna, Bucharest, Cluj).
For young academics, funding opportunities are available within the framework of existing research networks and cooperations with other universities (e.g. RUB).
